We’re looking for an experienced Product Designer with a strong UX focus, based in Ukraine, to support our product team on a part-time, on-demand basis. You’ll work with us as needed, contributing to product discovery, UX improvements, and feature design.
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer with strong UX expertise to support our product team on a part-time, on-demand basis. You’ll contribute across the product design lifecycle — from understanding business needs and user goals through research to delivering intuitive, high-performance experiences. Working closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders, you’ll help shape fintech products used by thousands of people and drive design decisions based on research and evidence rather than assumptions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the product design process end-to-end — from research and problem definition to delivery
- Plan and run user research (interviews, usability testing, analysis of product data) and translate findings into clear design decisions
- Transform complex business and technical requirements into user-friendly, scalable solutions
- Build prototypes and validate concepts with users before handoff, applying a design thinking approach to rapidly test and iterate
- Design experiences for web and mobile, with attention to complex flows such as onboarding, KYC, payments, and dashboards
- Make strategic design and UX decisions aligned with business goals
- Collaborate closely with developers to ensure feasibility and consistency
- Communicate directly with stakeholders on product vision, usability, and design rationale
- Maintain and evolve a cohesive design system across the company’s fintech platforms
Required skills:
- 5+ years of experience in product / UX design, with proven product ownership responsibilities
- A strong portfolio that demonstrates the full UX process — problem definition, research, prototyping, validation, and outcomes — not just final visuals
- Hands-on experience with user research and usability testing, and the ability to turn insights into design decisions
- Experience designing end-to-end user journeys for web and mobile applications
- Strong prototyping skills and experience designing for complex, high-load systems
- Proficiency in Figma (primary), including interactive prototyping
- Proven experience designing mobile-first experiences for iOS and Android, with the ability to proactively suggest solutions, challenge assumptions, and drive design decisions independently rather than relying on predefined directions.
- Previous work with complex platforms such as fintech products, marketplaces, or other data-heavy systems
- Proven ability to work independently and to drive and defend design decisions with product and engineering stakeholders
- Strong English (Advanced) for communication with clients and distributed teams
Big plus:
Previous experience designing for Fintech, banking, or other regulated/data-heavy products is a significant advantage. Experience contributing to or owning a design system, and a working understanding of front-end constraints, are also valued.
