Virtual & Physical Card Issuing
Virtual cards activate in days, physical cards follow automatically, and every limit, fee, and compliance rule is built in from the start.
Issue a card in the currency your customer actually needs
Each card is funded from a matching currency account, and runs on a major card network configured for your deployment, Visa or Mastercard.
One short form, then a clear fee before anything is charged
Ordering a card means picking a type and a currency, seeing the one time fee upfront, and, for a physical card, confirming a delivery address.
- Only the card types allowed by your setup are shown, virtual, physical, or both
- The one time fee is shown before the customer confirms anything
- A physical card asks for a delivery address, pre filled where possible
- No fee is charged until the card is actually approved and activated
Virtual and physical, explained plainly
Virtual card
Ready the moment it’s activated, ideal for online spending.
- Usable for online and in-app payments right away
- Card number and CVV visible securely in the app
- No PIN, since it never touches a physical terminal
- Cannot withdraw cash from an ATM
Physical card
A real plastic card, with cash access and a PIN.
- Works in stores and at ATMs, using its own PIN
- Card number and CVV stay on the plastic only, never shown in app
- A temporary virtual card is usable while it’s being delivered
- Activation just needs the card number and CVV, once it arrives
Ordering physical never means waiting to spend
A temporary virtual card is issued the moment a physical card is ordered, usable right away. Once the physical card arrives and is activated, it takes over automatically, same balance, same history, no interruption.

Suspend a card the moment something feels off
A card can be suspended instantly by its holder, an admin, or the system itself. While suspended, no spending, top ups, or detail views are possible.
- Suspending a card is instant and requires a clear confirmation step
- A suspended card blocks spending, top ups, and detail or PIN views
- Cards also auto suspend if the holder’s verification status lapses
- Unsuspending currently goes through support, keeping the action deliberate
Not just issuance, accountability by design
Corporate cards, real accountability
A business card is issued to a verified individual linked to the company, not the company itself, so every card is tied to a real person.
Auto suspend on verification lapse
The moment a cardholder’s verification status needs resubmission or is rejected, their active cards are suspended automatically.
Nothing sensitive stored in FinHost
Card numbers, CVVs, and PINs are never stored in FinHost’s own systems, they’re retrieved securely each time they’re needed.

Virtual & Physical Card Issuing
What types of cards are available through FinHost?
Through our card issuing partners, prepaid cards are available in EUR, USD, GBP, or CAD, as virtual, physical, or both. A card is loaded with funds from a matching currency account before use, rather than involving any borrowing or overdraft.
Which countries are supported?
Through our card issuing partners, card coverage currently extends across most of Europe and the UK, as shown in the regions above. Coverage can vary by deployment.
Can I have more than one card in the same currency?
Not at the same time, one card per currency is active at once. You can hold cards in several different currencies though, up to four.
Who is a business card issued to?
A verified individual linked to the company, rather than the company itself, so every card stays accountable to a real, verified person.
Do I need to complete verification before getting a card?
A virtual card can be requested right away, but it’s activated only once verification is confirmed. If your verification status ever lapses, an active card is automatically suspended until it’s resolved.
What happens if I suspend my card?
A suspended card can’t be used for spending, top ups, or viewing details until it’s unsuspended, which currently requires contacting support.
